Join us for Open Farm Sunday!

This year The Gourmet Goat Farmer will be opening the farm gates for Open Farm Sunday on 12th June 2022!

If you’ve ever wanted to see more of the farm here at The Gourmet Goat Farmer, come along to Open Farm Sunday to discover more about the work we do as farmers to produce food and enhance the countryside.

There will be lots to see and do on the day:

Meet our White Park Cattle, Boer Goats and new-born kids
Bee-keeping
Sheep shearing
Spinning and weaving
Face-painting
Pets corner
Barbecue, and beer tent
Play area
Farm walk
Picnic area
Farming and country pursuits demonstrations
Plus plenty of activities for kids (young people rather than baby goats!) to enjoy, all with a farming, food or countryside theme.

This will be a ticketed event to help us to manage numbers and ensure a quality experience for all our visitors. Tickets will be per car, with up to five people included so you’re encouraged to car share for better value. If you come on foot, bicycle, horseback or by public transport, you can include up to six people on your ticket.

Each ticket will be valid for a designated time slot, and you should have plenty of time to see and do everything on offer. And because the number of tickets per slot will be limited, you won’t have to queue. Within each two hour slot, there’ll be the ever-popular tractor-drawn trailer ride around the farm, so no-one will miss out!

Once you arrive, unless you want to purchase food or drinks, everything will be free (including basic refreshments), and all proceeds from the event will go towards conservation work on the Downs.

Every ticket purchased will be entered into a prize draw so you’ll have the chance to win a Photoshoot Experience Day Gift Voucher, which entitles you to a 60 minute photoshoot with Imagine Photography (Savernake), either in their photo studio or outside in their garden studio. You will also have a private cinema viewing of your best photographs, and a complimentary 10×8″ print of your choice to take away.
